Awesome Mixtape is based off of Star-Lord (Peter Quill) in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Guardians Of The Galaxy movies. In the movie, he carries along a Sony Walkman TPS-L2 and a cassette titled “Awesome Mixtape Volume 1,” compiled by his mother, which contains music from her childhood in the 1970’s on planet Earth. This soundtrack sets the tone and plot of the movie, different than all the other movies of the MCU in that it is driven by the music.
